Originally from Newfoundland, Nicole Byrne is a Canadian singer & songwriter who now calls Calgary, Alberta home. Having recently started her journey to pursue music professionally, Byrne is currently releasing new music and performing at open mics and songwriter circles.

With vocals similar to Sara Bareilles, and a writing style inspired by Amy Winehouse, Byrne is confidently paving a way with her own sound that has genuine appeal and commercial promise.  Byrne’s lyrics incorporate genuine emotion and life experience observations with inflections of humor and optimism.

Byrne recently completed Rockit Vocal Studios' Write, Record, Release program and released her first single, "Don't" in early 2022. The single was recorded at award winning MCC Studios in Calgary, AB and was produced by Grammy nominated producer, Johnny Gasparic. 

"Don't" is a message never sent to someone who hurt you and doesn't seem to want to let go. Someone who you'd rather forget, but who keeps trying to re-enter your life. “I hope it reflects those feelings of confusion and frustration for anyone wanting to cut that person out of their life, but not being able to find the words”.

Currently writing and recording new music, Byrne is slated to release an EP in early 2023.
